At long last, I got the pictures from my husband and just posted some. I hope others will send me what they have.

Whether we realize it or not, it's been (a long for some and a short for others) forty-seven years since we graduated from SSHS. God has been good to us all! With another birthday (yesterday) gone by we must continue to press on for another fifty years, just kidding, But  I do want to wish every classmate the best and may God continue to smile on us all!!!

50 years ago yesterday (Jan 20, 1969) many of us were in Washington, DC, marching in Richard Millhouse Nixon's first inauguration parade.  It was a bitterly cold day (not unlike today in southern VA) and many of us were suffering from food poisoning that we had picked up at Quantico Marine Base the night before.  I remember trying to keep rank and file, play the marches and fanfare and avoid the horse poop along the way.  Jim Calabrese got us all through that day.  He taught us what excellence was and helped us stay focused.  A lot has changed in 50 years; most of all us, but may Greyhound Grenadier spirit continue as long as we do!  Karl Stauber
