Andy was one of my dearest friends from the age of 7 or 8. I can still remember my mom calling me to tell me that she had died - so young - I think she was maybe 25, a teacher and coach and wife of Peter Quinn.
I know she would have been involved in the planning and execution of our reunion had she still been alive. I still miss her enthusiasm and beautiful personality. She was a great Greyhound leader and left us way too early.
In looking through some clippings, I found one from the Statesville Record and Landmark, Friday, April 24, 1981. It read: "Mrs. Andrea Waring Quinn, 30, teacher, died Thursday [April 23, 1981]. Memorial Service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church, Statesville."
